جمع في كتابه هذا فوائد عظيمة تكلم بيانا" لنعمة الله عليه فقال : " فدونك كتابا" تشد الرحال فيما دونه، وتقف عنده فحول الرجال ولا يعدونه، اذ كان الوضع في هذا الغرض لم تسمح قريحة بمثاله ولم ينسج ناسج على منواله " فالمجلد الاول منه معجم نحوي مرتب على حروف المعجم فسر فيه المفردات وذكر احكامها كالهمزة وبله وقط ولو ومن ويجمع لبعضها احيانا" ما يزيد على 15 استعمالا"، وفي الثاني بين ما يفيد المعربين من احكام الجمل وما يشبهها واحكام يكثر دورانها ويقبح جهل المعرب بها والاعتراضات على المعرب واخطاء شائعة وامور كلية والحق به مجلد للفهارس
