The remaining chapters discuss the thematic division of the Qur'an. A Study of the Qur'an and Its Teachings is a textbook in IQRA's Program of Islamic Studies, written for both students and other interested readers. Dr. Khalid Mahmud Sheikh is a professor of Islamic studies at International Islamic University at Islamabad and head of the department of Islamic Studies at Azad Jammu and Kashmir University at Muzafferabad, Pakistan. His earlier work A Study of Haddith, also published by IQRA', is very well received by the academic community and Islamic schools.
