Description

Take off your heavy bag of worries and learn to forgive, move on, and let go.

'Life isn’t always easy Even when you’re small, You may feel angry, or hurt or sad, We’re only human, after all.' We all have days when things seem to go from bad to worse. Follow one little boy whose frustrating day is making him angrier and angrier and see where it takes him... A charming way to introduce children to one of the core character traits in Islam: forgiveness. Inspired by the motivational words of the popular, well-loved Mufti Menk and crafted by award-winning author Na'ima B. Robert, this story invites children to identify and talk about their feelings and learn how to cope with them.

Dr Mufti Ismail Menk is a leading global Islamic scholar born and raised in Zimbabwe.

He studied Shariah in Madinah and holds a Doctorate of Social Guidance from Aldersgate University. Mufti Menk's work has gained worldwide recognition and he has been named one of "The 500 Most Influential Muslims in the World" by the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre in Amman, Jordan, since 2010. His personable style, down to earth approach and ever present smile has endeared him to millions of people, with followers all over the world asking him for guidance on his social media platforms. He travels the world spreading a simple but profound message: "Do good, help others while preparing for the Hereafter". He is active in the international arena and is a strong proponent of peace and justice, speaking up against all forms of terrorism.

Naima B. Robert is descended from Scottish Highlanders on her father's side and the Zulu people on her mother's side. She was born in Leeds, grew up in Zimbabwe and went to university in London. At high school, her loves included performing arts, public speaking and writing stories that shocked her teachers! She has written several multicultural books for children.
