Translated to English by Rami Touqan, the famous introduction of Ibn Khaldoun (732/1332 - 808/1406) to his huge work of history 'Kitab al-'Ibar'. This introduction was considered as a separate book, taking a form of an encyclopedia, talking about fields of knowledge of legalization, history, geography, economy, social, politics and medicine. The book also talks about human and their differences and environment and its impact on man. In addition, it discusses, in study, the development of nations and peoole and the appearance of states. In this book, Ibn Khaldoun was the first thinker who talks about social sciences. We can summarize this introduction in a group of points of view to consider it the base of social science.
