  22. Until The Sun Rises From the West Reflections on The Stories of Repentance and Forgiveness
Until The Sun Rises From the West Reflections on The Stories of Repentance and Forgiveness
One of the greatest weapons forged against the onset of Shayṭān and his troops is sincere Tawbah. The Prophet (peace be upon him) stated: “Whoever repents before the sun rises from its west, Allāh will accept his repentance.” This narration, and a myriad of others with similar meaning, serves as an admonition for all who hear, see and give thought; remembering that perfection is for Allāh Alone. As for the created nature of the children of Ᾱdam, then it is indeed flawed, in need of Allāh’s Mercy. Thus, we must be ever-mindful of this need and heedful of the fact that nothing comes between the slave of Allāh and Tawbah, no matter how grave the sin. It is therefore our sincere hope and prayer that these stories of repentance encourage all who read them to turn from transgression to contrition, earnestly seeking the Pardon and Forgiveness Learn More
  23. Humility in Prayer
    Humility in Prayer
This is a treatise we have written concerning humility (Khushu’) and the hearts meekness and breaking (inkisar) before the Lord. The basic meaning of Khushu’, is the softness of the heart, its being gentle, still, submissive, broken, and yearning. When the heart is humble, so too is the hearing, seeing, heard, and face; indeed all the limbs and their actions are humbled, even speech. This is why the Prophet (saw) would say in his bowing (ruku), “My hearing, sight, bones, and marrow are humbled to You,” another narration has, “and whatever my foot carries.” One of the Salaf saw a man fidgeting in his prayer and remarked, ‘If the heart of this person was humble, so too would his limbs be.’ The source of the Khushu, that takes place in the heart is the gnosis of Allah’s greatness, magnificence, and perfection. Teh more gnosis a person has of Allah, the more Khushu’ he has. The greatest action of worship which manifests the Khushu, of the body to Allah is the prayer (Salaah). Allah has praised those who have Khushu’ in the prayer Learn More
  24. Gardens of Purification
    Gardens of Purification
In today’s turbo-charged world, in which the pace of life is accelerating at a dizzying pace, very little time is spent reflecting upon the real purpose of man's existence. Instead, the main goals of life are the fulfilment of carnal desires and the accumulation of material goods of no real substance for a trifling period of time, at the expense of following Divine guidance. The overwhelming prevalence of greed and vice is what destroyed the nations before and is an ominous sign that the Last Hour is drawing near. Despite living longer, people spend less and less time attending to their spiritual needs, choosing instead to focus their attention on the myriad distractions made possible by fast-evolving technology. Beguiled by the false allure of this world the souls become diseased and ultimately die. The dead soul is heedless of its real purpose and oblivious of the inevitable meeting with its Maker; our great King Allah, the Most High. Those who wish to lead a spiritual life are in the minority. Thus it is incumbent for the seekers of Allah’s Pleasure to follow the correct path, lest their efforts are rendered worthless. This book will Insha’Allah aid the noble reader to awaken one’s soul to its true purpose and follow the straight path of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (saw), the best man to walk this earth, the finest of all examples and the most beloved to Allah – whose spirituality, character, morals and ethics are unquestionable. 25.  Islamic Civilization: Its Foundational Beliefs and Principles
Islamic Civilization: Its Foundational Beliefs and Principles
Sayyid Abul A'la Mawdudi (1903-79), one of the twentieth-century's leading Muslim intellectuals and revivalists, wrote Islami Tahdhib awr uskey Usul-o-Mabadi in the 1930s at a time when the momentum for independence was growing in British India. In Islamic Civilization: Its Foundational Beliefs and Principles, Mawdudi attempts to bring out the vital relationship between the concept of civilization and Islam's underlying worldview and vision of life. He argues that the true understanding of Islamic civilization is possible only by having access to the soul of that civilization and its underlying fundamental principles - belief in God, the angels, the Prophets, the Revealed Books and the Last Day - rather than to its manifestations in knowledge, literature, fine arts or rhetoric, its social life, its notions of refined living or its system of governance. With a Foreword by Zafar Ishaq Ansari, this is an authoritative first complete English translation by Syed Akif, which will be of interest to students and experts alike. Learn More

  33. Difference Between Advising and Shaming
    Difference Between Advising and Shaming
In this notable work, the renowned author provides essential detail in discussing key points dealing with differences that arise between the People of Sunnah, and the manners and etiquette one should acquire when differing occurs. He beautifully illustrates the difference between advising that is encouraged, and shaming that is not permitted - two topics that often become tangled and misunderstood. The author thus explains the characteristics of sincere advice and censure with a depth of clarity that will no doubt bring benefit to all, particularly those involved in active da'wah. This work also lays down some guiding principles when preparing criticisms and refutations. It makes clear that such ideal precepts apply to People of Sunnah; and as far as the People of Innovation and desires are concerned, then these principles do not apply to them. This is because the former group is recognised for following the truth, being merciful to the creation and desiring for them guidance, reform and all kinds of goodness. They never intend any harm, but rather make falsehood known by stemming ignorance through reasoning and dialogue in clarifying the truth - they enjoin the good and forbid the evil and strive in making the Word of allah uppermost. Dr. Salih ibn Sa`d al-Suhaymi provides beneficial commentary for the important points covered in this book, bringing greater relevancy to our modern context Learn More

  36. Help From Allah In The stories Of The Quran (Default)
Help From Allah In The stories Of The Quran
The Quran presents the stories of the prophets, which are undoubtedly the highest landmarks and the most distinguished episodes in human history. And why not, after they have combined the best style and chosen the most suitable events to highlight its message and the excellent example of the seal of prophets and those who supported them. The love of imitating is a natural quality ingrained in man, especially of the one that is followed. These are some of the unique features of these stories and are not found elsewhere. It is not utterly disgraceful, therefore, that we should read the stories of the Quran and understand them simply as folklore that have long vanished with the passage of time? And what is the relationship between them and us anyway? Surely by ALLAH, this is destruction, but it is not due to ignorance of the purpose of these stories; that they are advices for those who take heed, reminders for those who think, and instruction to those who desist. On the whole, there is no other purpose for these stories except their benefit, counsel, and enlightenment to the Muslims. Learn More
